Shawn Gregoire, founder of Dare to Live Collective
Why We Exist

Welcome, I’m Shawn.

If you’re here, there’s a good chance part of you has been feeling a little lost.

I know that feeling because I’ve lived it.

I spent years doing what so many women do. I was raising my sons while building a career in corporate America. From the outside, life looked full. But somewhere along the way, I quietly stopped making time for myself.

Then, in 2019, my world changed forever when my oldest son, SPC Michael Isaiah Nance, was killed while serving in Afghanistan.

Grief has a way of changing everything. As I learned to live with that loss, I realized I wasn’t only grieving Isaiah. I was grieving the woman I had quietly lost over the years.

Finding her again didn’t happen overnight. It happened one small choice at a time. One honest conversation. One brave step. One page.

That’s why I created Dare to Live Collective.

Not because I have all the answers, but because I know what it feels like to lose yourself, and I know the courage it takes to find your way back.

My hope is that every journal, every conversation, and every resource reminds you of one simple truth:

You haven’t lost yourself.
You just haven’t spent time with her lately.

With Love, Shawn

Healing is not becoming someone new.
It is returning to yourself.

Living boldly starts with one honest page.

Where it goes from here

It stopped being only my story.

What began as my own way back became something larger. Women started telling me they were carrying their own quiet versions of the same thing. Different circumstances, same ache. Same fear of saying it out loud.

Dare to Live Collective exists for those women. The journals give them somewhere private to be honest. The Circle gives them a room where they are not the only one. Different stories, same goal.
